Our 18th Annual VOTA (Valley of the Arts) is happening April 17! This year, we’re toasting the 1920s with a Speakeasy + Auction. Our juice joint will be the Friedman Events Center in Santa Rosa, and we’ll have dueling pianos, hooch aplenty, fun games for all the beaus and belles, a live auction, and more. Just play it cool and you’ll almost certainly get in – oh, and, mum’s the word, old sport, but the password is generosity!
This adults-only evening event is BVEF’s biggest fundraiser of the year. All speakeasy proceeds will benefit our district-wide art, music, dance, and and drama programs, which get minimal state funding. VOTA is a great opportunity to hang with and meet other district parents while enjoying a night out without the kids…and it’s going to be soooo much fun! Get your glad rags on and raise a glass to the Roaring Twenties – and raise a paddle, too, to raise some funds!

Why are we partying like it’s 1929?
Because it’s going to be the bee’s knees, sweetheart! Importantly, all the proceeds generated while we birds and flappers laugh and play go right back to the students of our Bennett Valley Union School District. Speak easy, give generously! BVEF is an all-volunteer, parent-run organization that funds 100% of the district’s art, music, theater, and dance programs, including instructor salaries for our two amazing, full-time/certified art and music teachers. BVUSD receives limited state funding for the arts which means the lion’s share of the arts enrichment programs your child participates in at school are made possible through our fundraising efforts.

We’re putting together a top-shelf team for this year’s VOTA, and we’re looking for a few good men and women. Smuggle yourself in to support the arts in our public schools!
