BVEF is responsible for raising over $85,000 each year to provide students at Yulupa and Strawberry Elementary Schools in Santa Rosa’s Bennett Valley Union School District with hands-on instruction in art, music, and dance.
The week of April 19th, 2021 will be our 13th Annual Valley of the Arts (VOTA) fundraiser! This beloved event is usually a gala dinner with live and silent auctions as well as live entertainment. Due to pandemic safety restrictions, VOTA 2021 will be completely online (like last year). We are confident, however, that the students and their families will once again enjoy coming together as a community and letting their creative juices flow. VOTA 2021 will be a “Creativity-Palooza” which includes school-wide spirit days, student and family creativity challenges, an online auction, a donation pledge drive, and dine-and-donate opportunities; it will culminate in a virtual concert featuring our schools’ band and choir students! We hope you will support our local students by purchasing a sponsorship. California does not provide funding for arts education in elementary schools, and ALL of the arts programs our students receive are funded by BVEF and local supporters like you!
