Steel Drum Ensemble
Come make some noise!
Join the Steel Drum Ensemble and experience the exciting sounds of the Caribbean! Students will learn to play authentic steel drums while working together to create energetic, colorful music as an ensemble.
No previous musical experience is required, just a willingness to learn, work as a team, and have fun! Students will develop rhythm, musicianship, coordination, listening skills, and ensemble teamwork while exploring music and culture from Trinidad & Tobago and beyond. Throughout the program, students will learn a variety of songs and prepare music to share with our school community.
Open to all Strawberry students in Grades 4–6. No experience necessary. Learn to play steel drums! Explore music from around the world. Make music with friends. Perform as a real steel band! Find your groove. Join the steel band. Make some music!
Steel Drum Ensemble Fees
We request a $150 registration fee per student in the form of a donation to BVEF.
If you would like to request a scholarship for your student due to financial hardship, please email bvef.president@gmail.com.

Steel Drum Ensemble Schedule
The ensemble will meet two times a week, both on Wednesday, before and after school. Please note, once a month, the ensemble will NOT meet for the afternoon session.
Wednesdays: 7:30–8:20am & 1:45–2:45pm
